We are well pleased to announce that we have partnered with Genopets — the first move-to-earn game in the metaverse. The strategic investment will allow Morfyus League to scale its growing footprint in South East Asia and expand its scholarship program. Morfyus League’s purchase of in-game habitats will allow players to house Genopets and unlock a new pathway to enable players to progress quickly in the game by earning NFTs to evolve their Genopets and become stronger players.

About Genopets

What is Genopets? — Genopets is the first Free-to-Play, Move-to-Earn NFT game that makes it fun and rewarding to live an active lifestyle. Players will need Habitats to start earning in-game utility tokens, KI as a reward and Habitats will be purchasable from the marketplace. Habitats will be upgradeable, with higher tier habitats being more valuable and having more advanced features. Habitats will allow players to generate Unrefined Crystals, which after converting to Refined Crystals can be sold on the marketplace or used to upgrade your Genopet, unlock unique accessories, special items, boosts, and power-ups. As habitats require an upfront investment Morfyus league will bridge the gap by providing habitats to connect Scholars to Genopets and help new players to get started on the earning path.

In-Game Economy

There are two tokens in Genopets that help develop an in-game economy; GENE token and KI token.

GENE Token

GENE is the governance token that is the main value of Genopets. There is a community called “The Equilibrium” for people who hold GENE tokens. The holders are allowed to have a voice in game design, exclusive or new content, participate in further events, and earn rewards.

KI Token

KI is an in-game utility token that players can purchase from the marketplace or earn from in-game progression such as physical activity, PVP battle, and completing quests. KI tokens are also used to form new Habitats, upgrade Genopets status to get stronger when going to battle, and customize Genopets.

Crafting

Craftable in-game NFTs will need GENE and KI tokens to produce Refined Crystals and Habitats. After the GENE token is spent it won’t be burned but goes to the community treasury to be distributed later for sustainable token flow.
